Hello,
I'm trying to emerge gnome, but I've got a problem when it comes down to mozilla.
In this topic about AMD64 the error is exactly the same.

I've tried to re-emerge gnome-vfs and to emerge it with ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~ppc".
I'm out of idea's, does anyone else have one for me?

Thanks!

PS How can I copy a error message?

PPS

Can I use gnome without emerging mozilla, or does gnome use it for browsing my harddisk (like windows and explorer)?
For example can I use firefox?
Or would I have the same problem (as firefox uses the mozilla engine, afaik).

Thanks!

Give mozilla-1.7.3-r2 a try. It inherits the mozconfig eclass which sorts out your gnomevfs woes.

Alternatively, if you want gnome without most of the bloat including mozilla, then gnome-light may be want you want.

Hi thanks for the tips.
How can emerge mozilla-1.7.3-r2? I get an error saying I need a operator for this specific key.
I would have wanted to use gnome-light but I've emerged almost all the gnome components.
Besides gnome-light is masked as ~ppc.
As a newbie, I don't want to start to much with ~ppc...

Thanks!

Try:

Code:
emerge =mozilla-1.7.3-r2
