I encounter a funny problem with mol. I emerge it without any problems and after setup everything seems to works just fine ... but

The mouse pointer jumping badly when any os activivty (For example when the window is opened the mouse pointer stops suddenly) thes makes almost impossible to work on mol.

First I try to run mol on console quiting X'es first ... this doesn't help
Killing gpm also doesn't help

I use 'X' 10.3 system with 2.6.9 kernel image and latest mol emerge.

Anyone have any ideas ?

Same behaviour here. I am able to get a barely usable (but by no means satisfactory) setting if I disconnect my USB mouse and work only with the trackpad.

I am using MacOS extremely rarely though (in fact only for Flash sites now and then) so this is not a real issue for me, but it is nonetheless annoying (so a fix would be nice).

This is weird because I have no usb devices on my system at all. I disabled the usb support in mol just in case but without any good results.

This is realy ugly problem for me because I need a working MOL here and this pointer issue makes almostr impossible to use it :/ Any other ideas ?

Check how much memory you've given to MOL, edit /etc/mol/molrc.osx and give as much memory as you can spare, it's probably constantly swapping which is decreasing your performance. Try increasing it and see if it works any better, but don't make it too high otherwise you'll be swapping on linux as well. :)

Good point, I will try it out. I currently have 200M which was OK for the previous OS X--it would then look like 10.3's memory requirements are much increased compared to previous versions. Thanks for the tip.

I discover something. Maybe this would help to solve this issue. I gues this pointer problems can be cauuused by nice value of mol.

Sometime ago I run a program ans set it's nice value to -10 and the mouse cursor starts to jump in the same way as in MacOSX on MOL here.

I see MOL has nice value set to -19 can this be it ? But why I can observe the same probem in console too ?

Yeah. This is definitly priority related problem. When I renice mol process from -19 to -5 mouse starts to work normaly.

I wonder is there any way to set the mol nice value ? I do not want to use renice command on each mol start.
