Trying to emerge apradar but it fails

Code:

then mv -f ".deps/ccode.Tpo" ".deps/ccode.Po"; \
else rm -f ".deps/ccode.Tpo"; exit 1; \

I am also having trouble enabling monitor and scanning mode on Airport/Orinoco card. I can get it to work if I compile orinoco and airport drivers as modules and use /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6 to load them (hotplug/coldplug can't load them at boot). But monitor and scanning fails if drivers are compile into the kernel (2.6.9 r3). Is having modules the only way to get monitor and scanning to work?

Did you try my APRadar ebuild?

https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=55494

Personally I was only able to compile it against gtkmm-2.2 and not the current 2.4 branch.

As for monitor/scanning mode compiled into the kernel, you will have to replace the drivers/net/wireless directory in your kernel source tree with the current driver from the orinoco website (http://www.nongnu.org/orinoco/).

But since there is a nice ebuild for the orinoco driver already in portage that includes monitor & scanning mode and compiles as a module, why bother?

Yes I am trying your apradar ebuild and I have gtkmm-2.4.5 so that must be the problem.

I would like to have the driver in the kernel since it is needed from the time I boot gentoo until I shut it down.
