Most likely not. All the PPC64 work is done in the 2.6 series and I have yet to hear of any backport to the 2.4 series.

Thanx Stefan. scsi card is atto ul4d. atto suggested either going w/2.4x or "trying" to reflash it with LSI firmware(LSI is the chipmaker) but doing this would void the wty. Evidently they have firmware that is supported in 2.6x but no one knows if it will work in OSX.
I guess I'm not real anxious to void my brand new $300 card's wty or become a guinea pig.
any ideas, tom
BTW...thanks again 4 your help, it seems that you're just about one of the only helpful souls here.

Umm, I do not have experience with SCSI cards, but I would try and flash the firmware anyway. A functional card is better than doorstop with a warranty, eh? ;-) Besides, you are putting the manufacturer's firmware in there, you have a good case to argue if the card breaks and the vendor does not honour the warrany. I also assume that you can put the old firmware back before sending the thing for repairs...
