I am going crazy trying to get networking to work under MOL using the tun driver. I have installed the drivers in the MOL image that shows up on the OSX desktop, ensured all kernel options are correct, etc.

ifconfig:
Code:

          inet addr:192.168.0.2  Bcast:192.168.0.255  Mask:255.255.255.0

This is a brand new install with kernel 2.6.10. Interestingly, in MOL, the network card does not show up in network prefs, only the airport and modem are there. I am using an external router running dhcp, ensured kernel options to be correct, etc, etc. Help!

Thanks

Here's your problem:

Code:
Can't open lease database /var/lib/dhcp/dhcpd.leases: No such file or directory --

I just got this working on my computer a few minutes ago (using a 2.6.10 kernel on a 17" AlBook). The dhcpd.leases manpage says that initially this file does not exist and that you have to create it manually, so the solution is:

Code:
touch /var/lib/dhcp/dhcpd.leases

...and wham-o! It works! (Just make sure you've got the mol network drivers installed in OSX)

Thanks,

I actually figured this out the day I made this post but completely forgot to follow up with the solution. It's one of those things that really makes ya feel dumb, I mean, the answer was right there on my screen the whole time.
