ANyone know if open firmware is free/open source software? What is the copyright info on OF and what license is it released under?

Open Firmware itself is actually an IEEE standard (1275). Individual implementations of it may or may not be Free. OpenBios is a project to create a Free implementation. I am not aware of any other Free implementations.


Apple's implementation is not Free, but you can read the source to some functions by using a Forth command from within OF.
