This will allow an easy method of contacting all moderators at one time.
  • Users:
    • If you spot what you believe to be a duplicate post, please post a link to it here. In addition, include a link to what is being duplicated.
    • If you find a post you think belongs in a different forum, let us know.
    • Avoid multiple reports of spam:
      • If a user's posts are all spam, report the user, not the posts.
      • Review this thread after submitting a report. Please delete your report if someone beat you to the punch.
    • Any other post that you think requires moderation (violations of Guidelines, broken BBcode, etc.).

  • Moderators:
    • Please delete posts after you've addressed them.
Thanks in advance.

I have had this trouble and after searching several forums found an easy solution. Download driver from Mediatek where the A6210 is called MT7612U. Then uninstall Netgear Genie and then plug your dongle back in. In device manager install new driver manually and install Mediatek driver dated 28 Oct 2017 (5.1.22.0). It has worked for me.

Three of his four posts to date are vacuous, and look at his third post, quoted above. He's advocating 'In device manager install a new driver manually'. Device Manager is a Windows application. What has that advice got to do with Gentoo Linux.

Their posts do seem suspicious. Hu seems to have followed their activity a bit. I replied to one of the posts the other day. Activity seems to have stopped. Leaving this post here as a reference to check back. Anyone else is free to do otherwise. --pjp, 2017.08.01

Reason: this and several other posts down that topic smell like a poor trolling attempt

hey szatox calling me a troll because s/he doesn't agree with me 8O tsk tsk
"a poor trolling attempt" probably because trolling was definitely not being attempted, not even the intention!

Reason: I think this topic needs a split somewhere. There's so much OT posts there already. I'd maybe put a mark somewhere in the topic where the split takes place so that those who want may jump to the other topic.

I was thinking about a split recently myself. Unfortunately, some interpretations could mean virtually all of the replies are off topic. Finding the balance is the tricky part, and takes some time. Maybe I'll be able to tomorrow if no one else beats me to it. --pjp, 2017.08.01

I've posted a summing up that reflects on the posts to date. I think that the posts are more valuable, from a historical point of view and even a social record, where they are.
There is also pjps point. What to split?
-- NeddySeagoon

I think the topic has found its course again. Thanks to, both, your posts.

Neddy: maybe everything after like 3rd or 4th post there and preceding your summary then? I doubt anyone would really miss this part.

josephg: It wasn't trolling? Well, don't drink and type then
It was both, really bad and off topic. Soz, bro

szatox, i don't agree.
so i'm not allowed to state my opinion? which i still standby.
and clearly you disagree with me, and in a non-constructive way too.. since, instead of debating with me, you have to stoop so low as to label me a troll and call the moderators on me?
i think i can probably see why.. and i see no point in engaging any further with you.

Topic: Test-request: kde-misc/basket:5 (information organiser)
Reason: nah, i'm fine with this topic :)

My report reason is that, i have seen actually some devs doing that, call for help to use our community users as testers (ffmpeg case, migration to libpng...).
And it's a pretty good initiative, just seeing how the forum is successful is kinda a proof our users base is of a real value.

So i'm wondering, as only arch testers are aware of any call for help/testing, shouldn't we just have a kind of dev section "call for test/help" in the forum... where devs could query community for that?
And non arch testers will have opportunity to help, easing dev's life, easing package testing and stabilization or bug hunt...

What you guys think?
ps: unsure if i should had create a topic on the subject, but you could split this off if need
