I have (what I assume) is an oldworld G3 iBook. It's a 500MHz G3.

I went and removed all the partitions and prepared the disk for a linux install only (I don't want to keep MacOS on the laptop at all.) After reading ahead a bit, I noticed that of course there is no bootloader. Now that I've toasted my MacOS partition is there any way to fix this?

Or, when I reboot, will the system still boot in some sort of crippled mode where I can set the bootloader to start gentoo? I haven't really used the iBook that often, so any help is appreciated.

Thanks, D

I just did a `cat /proc/cpuinfo` and discovered that it is a newworld iBook. So the bootloader shouldn't be a problem, now it's just trying to get the kernel to compile without spitting up errors.
