I have a Mac Performa 450 which I wish to install the latest free MacOS on (7.5.3).
Found this site: http://www.lowendmac.com/macos.shtml
How can I make these floppy-images bootable on the Mac from a x86 Gentoo machine?

To write an image file, do
Code:
dd if=/path/to/image/file of=/dev/fd0 bs=512

OK, I did that (without the bs=512), it didn't work.
Spat it out when I tried booting from the floppy, wanted to format it when I inserted it when Mac OS was running.
