I seriously doubt that answers your question, though ;-)

irssi, konversation, bitchx, xchat, ircii - the net-irc category lists over 60 clients and servers.

cheers big help....... never thought about net-irc :oops: just search irc and got a load of emac plugins.... (nothing against that its just i use emacs for my editing and thats it)

i went for bitchx so i ran emerge bitchx then i went exec /usr/bin/bitchx it's not there so i went whereis bitchx but i can't find it does it change name?
