Hello,

i want to install Gentoo Linux with stage1 and the help of the handbook.

"emerge --sync" give me this error:
Code:

zu_ZA.UTF-8... done
zu_ZA.ISO-8859-1... done
make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/glibc-2.3.4.20041102-r1/work/glibc-2.3.3/localedata'
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/glibc-2.3.4.20041102-r1/work/glibc-2.3.3'
 * Installing man pages and docs...
ls: relocation error: /var/tmp/portage/glibc-2.3.4.20041102-r1/image//lib/libc.so.6: symbol ___tls_get_addr, version GLIBC_2.3 not defined in file ld-linux.so.2 with link time reference

My locales.build:
Code:

de_DE/ISO-8859-1
de_DE@euro/ISO-8859-15

My make.conf:
Code:

CFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -O2 -mcpu=i686 -fomit-frame-pointer"
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"
MAKEOPTS="-j2"
GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.tu-clausthal.de/pub/linux/gentoo"
USE="-gtk -gnome qt kde dvd alsa cdr"

What's wrong?

Oh sorry. I'm a bit confused.
I did the installation a second time from the beginning - with the same message like above.
But it's not emerge --sync. It's /scripts/bootstrap.sh! Then he download several packages ans installing them and after a while my failure occured.
