After a fresh 2005.0 install on an HP Proliant DL360 it freezes on starting local and will sit a for a few minutes an spit out the following over and over:

Code:

Init: id "c1" respawning too fast: disable for 5 minutes

Not sure what anyone trying to help would need for reference.

I have a couple of hints, and questions.
Hints:
* It is probably a kernel misconfigure,
* It may be hardware problems. Is any part like OLD, or something?

Questions:
* Are you using SCSI
* how did you make your kernel, have you researched what's in there?
* Did you turn off local.start using the livecd? (# rc-update del local.start default) and try booting then?

Thanks

Sounds like the problem discussed here: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-315734.html
