Hi,
I ran emerge --depclean and now my system complains about missing libacl.so.1. I have read through topics on this forum and others and understand I have to get libacl.so.1 and libattr.so.1 off the livecd, place them in /lib, then emerge coreutils with USE="-acl". Problem is I can't find those files anywhere on the livecd 2004.3 && 2005.0... anyone know where to get hold of these files?

Thanks,
Aaron

What you can do is, put in the livecd, boot up, chroot into your gentoo environment, then run
Code:

emerge -vuD --newuse world

This will fix that problem.

I've ran into the acl problem before. Either add -acl or acl to your use flags, or run all emerge worlds with --newuse before you do a depclean.
