i installed the gentoo , but after emerge kde i haven't continue the installin that stopped on fam-2.7.0 and there was apeared an message so i can't completed the installing the kde , what should i do now .... is anybody can help me ???


i have installed gentoo from 2005.0 stage 1.

waiting for client.o.lock to be removed


i have got this error message , how can i solve this problem.......:(:(

well, you could for a start post the full error message and not complain...

i have taken up the photo of error message when i am installing the KDE , i hope this will be usefull for help me .. thank you for everything and care me .there arent any other message about that just this . before this message everything looking like good going on but when i came here i have getting this message , where is the problem i dont know ...:cry::cry::cry:

Just a guess, it looks like locking problem.
Try to put
Code:
MAKEOPTS="-j1"

in /et/make.conf

USE="-fam" emerge -uDav kde


if that works, add it to your make.conf or package.use (/etc/make.conf and /etc/portage/package.use respectively, see man emerge and portage for more info)
