I have done a bit of searching for this error but can't find anything to point me to a solution.

The error:
Code:

/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/../../libc.so when searching for -lc
/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/../../libc.a when searching for -lc
/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/libc.so when searching for -lc
/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib/libc.a when searching for -lc
/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lc

!!! Function gcc_do_make, Line 1138, Exitcode 2
!!! make failed with profiledbootstrap
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.

The really strange thing about this is that I cannot change to 2005.0 profile till I get this sorted, the reason beeing:
Code:

sys-devel/gcc
      Latest version available: 3.4.3.20050110-r1
      Latest version installed: 3.4.3.20050110
Size of downloaded files: 28,703 kB

I have tried to recompile the allready installed version, but there is no e-build for 3.4.3.20050110 only for 3.4.3.20050110-r1
(I'm followying the upgrade guide, http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/base/amd64/howtos/index.xml?part=1&chap=1#doc_chap1 )

Is there anyone with any idea how to fix this? Just shout if you need more info!
:(

Okay, just tried masking the culprit and using the next best release of gcc, but I get the exact same error message.
:(

This doesn't look too good, not good at all....anyone with some advice/help?
Code:

myworld mywereld # gcc-config -l

Aaaahhhh, thank you kind sir, I was messing around on the problem and also saw that it had to be something with libs not being where they are supposed to be!
