After reading the install guide and doing several commands which include:

dhcpcd eth0
ifconfig eth0
modprobe8139too

I can say that I can't get on the internet yet. I thought I'd try to get Gentoo to detect my network card and it did. It was detected as:

Via Technologies VT6102 [Rhine-II]
Specifically, it's a realtek card.

I am postive I did compile networking into the kernel too.

Thanks,

p.s. Sorry if I have been harrasing you all.

Load the appropiate Rhine-II module. (via_rhine)
