When i try to emerge xorg-x11-6.8.2 on my fresh 2005.0 build i get compile errors in the build. it doesnt mater ether which version of xorg-x11-6.8.* it is.

The error happens in the pswrap code and seems to be caused by something missing in the linker -lfl

i started from stage2 as i wanted a optimesed machine but decided that the 5 hours to do the bootstrap was too long, something is wrong with the ui cd as it sets my cpu to 800mhz irespective of load.

Please post the error, saying that you got a "compile error" really doesn't tell us anything useful.

Make sure you added ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" in your make.conf and then emerge -u system again. I forgot to add to add that and ran into the same problem.

DON'T put ACCEPT_KEYWORDS='~x86" anywhere near your make.conf file....
This will install every unstable package from the depths of Hell onto your PC.....

Well verify that it is in your make.conf file. That was how I saw this problem. Whatever your architecture is...

That's not a good advice at all. As Frogd told, putting that in to your make.conf is like trying a suicide with b0rked knife. It will just get you into trouble.

If you need to use ~arch packages, just put the package to /etc/portage/package.keywords, it's much more safer.

To Mayday, Please don't give that kind of advices to this kinds of problems, because that won't solve this.
