And this time it seems to be neither dv nor quicktime. At least I don't get the error messages assosiated with those bugs. Here's what I get:

I am getting the same error on mjpegtools when I tried doing a revdep-rebuild. I was thinking of doing a emerge libtool && fix_libtool_files.sh 3.3.4 and see if the helps. I'll post if it fixes the problem.

Well, a few minutes ago, I got exactly the same error while trying to compile mjpegtools. For me, the following commands work:

Code:

andreas@VAIO# emerge unmerge libquicktime
andreas@VAIO# emerge quicktime4linux
andreas@VAIO# ldconfig

After this, emerging mjpegtools works without any problems.

crazydoc,
That fixed it. Thanks for the help. BTW, this maybe a dumb question but how did you know or figure it out?

Thanks again...

Seems like a bad solution to me. It compiles, but notice that
Code:
 - Quicktime playback/recording  : false
during config.

Had same problem. Added media-libs/libquicktime ~x86 to /etc/portage/package.keywords and remerged libquicktime and mjpegtools with no problems.

Yupp, that's better. Added
Code:
=media-libs/libquicktime-0.9.4 ~x86
to /etc/portage/package.keywords. It now says
Code:
- Quicktime playback/recording  : true
when I compile mjpegtools.

LOL this is so confusing yesterday I need to put the latest libquicktime in package.mask for somethings to compile right since I use ~x86 gentoo and now I need it to compile another tool right? Hehe. But anywyas it is working fine now I hope transcode doesn't break now with libquicktime .9.4.

Nice to get thru mjpegtools, but got bit on transcode. Gave up and finally just took quicktime out of my use flags. I'm sure the devs will work all this out soon enough.
