VFS: Cannot open root device "hda4" or unknown-blok(0,0)
Please appen a correct "root=" boot option
kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable t mount to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

Code:

mount /dev/hda4 /mnt/gentoo

Quando /dev/hda4 ha montato su /mnt/gentoo:

Code:

chroot /mnt/gentoo /bin/bash
env-update
source /etc/profile

Ora dovete andare compilare il kernel:

Code:

cd /usr/src/linux/
emerge genkernel
genkernel --udev all
cp bzImage /boot/bzImage
pubblichi /etc/yaboot.conf
e reboot il powerbook.

Reguardi,
Milot Shala

Così, emerge un'altra fonte del kernel, monta /boot del sistema e fa funzionare il genkernel ancora.

So, you can see that i speek little Italian ( i am in learning phase learning Spanish and Italian with dicitionaries that i bought here in town. ) and i use my Italian handbook Dicitonary, now i will write in english ;). So emerge an another kernel-source, mount /boot and re-run genkernel --udev all.

Riguardi,
Milot Shala
