No, the Airport Extreme isn't supported by the Linux Kernel at all. Work has been progressing on writing a driver, but nothing is available at this time. Sorry!

You can use an usb-wlan-stick.
I know someone, who uses such a stick whith a Prism chip and it works fine.

OK, it's only a 10MBit stick, but this is enough for a 3MBit internet connection ;-)
He uses the wlan-ng drivers, which can easiely be (e)merged.

Is there a website or blog somewhere I can keep up with the progress of the Airport extreme driver?

not really. It's being kept someone low key. The sourceforge project appears dead but is being carried on by someone with a private cvs server. If you wish to help I can get you in touch with him. The development of the driver is somewhat illegal at this point so there's not going to be much info about it out in the open.

Go ahead and toss me a PM on how to get in contact with them. I've never done much drive programming, but I could always give it my best shot...
