If I have a 60 gig drive on my iBook, and I want a 3 way split 20/20/20 one for root (incl. swap), one for music/movies and one for OSX. Now if I want my movies/music to be accessable by both OSX and Gentoo wich filesystem should I go with; does OSX read/write anthing besides HFS?

Thanks in advance,

~Willy

there is nice software tool for OSX that reads ext2 (or ext3 without journaling).

linux can also happily deal with hfs+ which is the default filesystem of macosx. just make sure to enable support for it when you configure the kernel.
