The reason I want a non-compressed chrp kernel for Pegasos II
is that yaboot will not load detached initrd with zImages. (I'm using
Sven Luther's patched yaboot which is Pegasos II aware.)

When building kernels I get

vmlinux
arch/ppc/boot/images/zImage.*

vmlinux doesn't boot for me on Pegasos II - I presume it is a generic uncompressed ELF image that
is not CHRP-ready. On the other hand zImage.chrp and zImage.initrd.chrp always work
(the latter with embedded ramdisk image).

Is there a way to generate a CHRP version of vmlinux?
