Here the problem...I have gcc-3.4.3-20050110 installed... for the last month and a half have been having issue with upgrade of gcc --r1 and r2. gcc compile stops at the following: ( i read that r1 was broken... that's one answer how 'bout -r2?) do I have to downgrade gcc?

gcc -DEFAULT_SSP -g -DIN_GCC -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -pedantic -Wno-long-long -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I/var/tmp/portage/gcc-3.4.3.20050110-r2/work/gcc-3.4.3/gcc -I/var/tmp/portage/gcc-3.4.3.20050110-r2/work/gcc-3.4.3/gcc/. -I/var/tmp/portage/gcc-3.4.3.20050110-r2/work/gcc-3.4.3/gcc/../include \
-DLOCALEDIR=\"/usr/share/gcc-data/powerpc-unknown-linux-gnu/3.4.3-20050110/locale\" \
-c /var/tmp/portage/gcc-3.4.3.20050110-r2/work/gcc-3.4.3/gcc/intl.c -o intl.o
gcc -DEFAULT_SSP -g -DIN_GCC -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -pedantic -Wno-long-long -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I/var/tmp/portage/gcc-3.4.3.20050110-r2/work/gcc-3.4.3/gcc -I/var/tmp/portage/gcc-3.4.3.20050110-r2/work/gcc-3.4.3/gcc/. -I/var/tmp/portage/gcc-3.4.3.20050110-r2/work/gcc-3.4.3/gcc/../include \
-DPREFIX=\"/usr\" \

gcc -DEFAULT_SSP -g -DIN_GCC -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -pedantic -Wno-long-long -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -o xgcc gcc.o gccspec.o intl.o \

* Creating a hardened no-pie gcc specs file

it happens whatever my flags... cflag, use flag.... i've tried everything and every time it's the same thing ... and since a lot of update require gcc be updated i've been stuck. before i' downgrade gcc and need recompile a lot of stuff does anyone have a solution...? i've been searching forums and bugs but can't seem to find an answer.

here is my emerge info:

No clue on your problem, but gcc-3.4.3-r1 works for me, hardened and all.
