Is there any way to play local *.rm files on PPC?

I'm not sure what you mean by local but I can play .rm files both with mplayer and xine.
My use flags from emerge info

Why does realplayer is masked in gentoo ~ppc ?

Once installed, have you managed to integrate realplay with firefox? How can I do that?

There is no working HelixPlayer or RealPlayer on Portage for PPC, and since HelixPlayer does not play *.rm files, I downloaded RealPlayer for Linux PPC and installed it using Real's installer. The RealPlayer starts up fine, but failes to load properly the *.rm file I wanted. It's probably a mistake from me, so I guess i'll mark this as solved. Thanks for all the replies.

Read also this
The installer of realplayer 10.0.5 works, and realplayer itself also starts to play. But video is skipping and doesn't play smoothly.
For net radio it's sufficiant. But the application barely responds to commands, and I think the quality is not adequate; so after a period a 16 bit stream switches down to 11 or 8, which doesn't happen on other computers.

Since Kernel 2.6.12 or don't know which update the reaplayer works fine now with video and audio streams.

Using Kernel 2.6.13 and realplay 10.0.5 with alsa, I am hearing good quality sound from my Pismo for the first time since starting to use gentoo.
A couple of small problems, the news link posted in this thread played at chipmunk speed when I tried it. Trying to open location directly from realplay resulted in a segfault.

Those I can live with, but the volume is too loud for my very sensitive in-ear earphones. With xmms, I can adjust the volume below
the minimum in alsamixer, but cannot play ram files. I cannot overide this minimum with realplayer. Any suggestions?
