Since I installed courier-authlib, I get the following error after every emerge:

Cannot add provide 'authdaemond', as a service with the same name exists

Suggestions? Everything seems to be working OK otherwise.

I am running on an Alpha, but this does not look like the sort of problem which would be platform related.

Thanks

Code:
rm /etc/init.d/authdaemond
depscan.sh
This happens because of the upgrade to the new courier-authlib. Its new init script (/etc/init.d/courier-authlib) provides the authdaemond facility, but so does the old init script (/etc/init.d/authdaemond) which doesn't get removed when upgrading since it's under config file protection. Just getting rid of the old script will do the trick.
Note though that the location of the configuration files for the new courier-authlib has changed - make sure you've set the new files up (they're in /etc/courier/authlib instead of in /etc/courier-imap) before removing the old script!
