Hello folks!
As the topic says :(
I had this problem when I installed gentoo on my PC, but on my MAC I can not get it.

After I log in, I have to (currently):
Code:
ifconfig eth0 up
dhcpcd

Then all is well. I have tried having the NIC driver built into the kernel and loaded as a module - same result.

When I:
Code:
 rc-update add net.eth0 default
it says its already there.

And I do have my
Code:
iface_eth0="dhcp"
dhcpcd_eth0="..."

UNcommented in /etc/conf.d/net

I would prefer to have the NIC driver compiled into the kernel, so if you have some tips, please keep in
mind that that will be the state the computer will be in, as opposed to it being a module as of right now.

Thanks A LOT

How do you know? Did your syslog get a message in /var/log/messages or something?

Should be something like dhcpcd_eth0="-t 10" (not just "...")

It is "..." on my x86 system and it works fine. But the "-t 10" you suggested worked
out great. THANKS!
