Hi
I am using Gentoo 2005.0 and the problem is that I have installed it without framebuffer support but after installation it is still giving framebuffer error. When Gentoo starts it gives error "vesafb: scrolling redraw" and then my system hangs. I am using S3 ProSavage DDr (VGA Card). How can i correct it.
Thanks

Hi.

That error gives the impression that you compiled vesafb into the kernel.
Can you do
Code:
grep vesafb /usr/src/linux/.config

to check if vesafb is selected?

Moved from Installing Gentoo to Duplicate Threads in favour of Kernel doesn't boot, stops with "vesafb: scrolling: redraw".
