not too sure where to put this but i guess here will do. how can i make my ibook G3 clamshell not sleep from inactivity during an install? i would rather not babysit the install when i could be showering and doing something more productive.

thx in advance.

When you choose which kernel to boot (I forget where that is in the boot process) there are various kernels... you should look for one that disables ACPI/APM etc. The reason that option is present is exactly to fix this problem.

It's probably pbbuttonsd that's putting your laptop to sleep, just kill the process. If this isn't it, let us know.

Good luck!
