Hi all
This is my first instalation on sprac architecture.

first boot after instalation:

Code:
arp_tables: (C) 2002 David S. Miller

NET4: Unix domain sockets 1.0/SMP for Linux NET4.0.

kjournald starting.  Commit interval 5 seconds

EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode.

VFS: Mounted root (ext3 filesystem) readonly.

Mounted devfs on /dev

Kernel panic: No init found.  Try passing init= option to kernel.

 Press L1-A to return to the boot prom

my /etc/fstab:

Code:
/dev/sda1               /               ext3            noatime                 1 2
/dev/sda2               none            swap            sw                      0 1
/dev/sda4               /usr             ext3            noatime                 0 1
/dev/sda5               /var             ext3            noatime                 0 1
/dev/sda6               /home          ext3            noatime                 0 1
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
none /proc/openprom openpromfs defaults 0 0

my /etc/silo.conf

Code:
# Example of how can be silo.conf set up
partition = 1
timeout = 70
#password = __put_your_password_in_cleartext_here__
#restricted
image = /boot/kernel-2.4.29
        label = gentoo-2.4.29-sparc
        root = /dev/sda1

In the kernel:
File systems --->
[*] Virtual memory file system support (former shm fs)
[*] /proc file system support
[*] /dev file system support (EXPERIMENTAL)
[*] Automatically mount at boot
[ ] /dev/pts file system for Unix98 PTYs
..
[*] Ext3 journalling file system support

Any idea?

You'd probably get better help if you posted this in the Gentoo on SPARC forum.

EDIT:

NVM, you already did here.
