From linux you can read/write on hfs+.

On macosx there is a tool (on sourceforge) to read and write ext2 (ext3) partitions.

I think there isn't anything for reiserfs :(

Here's what I'd do:

Boot off of a gentoo LiveCD (or maybe a Knoppix CD? Not sure if it support reiserfs), and then mount the reiser partitions and copy them over to the HFS+ partition. Not sure about this, though, 'cause last time I tried this, the HFS+ tools were REALLY unsupported, so I'm not sure how much has changed.

Cheers every one - I managed to get hold of a spare 60gb hddd and a pc - running windows.

I've had to copy the files on reiser (using knoppix) on the pc onto a fat32 formatted Hdd. Unfortunatly it's taking ages because i'm harding to copy files twice (reiser to fat on pc and then fat to hfs+ on the mac) and can only do a proportion of the files at a time (~250gb files onto a 60gb hdd )

Many thanks
Iain
