After just completing an x86 Gentoo install on my home pc, I thought I'd be brave (for me, anyway) and repeat my attempts to get it working on my PowerBookG4 since I have some more spare time on my hands!

One question I thought I'd ask before I proceed though is this: Is there any way to get a right-click functioning under linux on powerpc? I've used Ubuntu and YellowDog already on my PowerBook and struggled (I didn't however have easy access to internet of any speed, which made research difficult), so I'm curious if something such as pbbuttonsd is available for the mouse option.

Also, are there any reccomendations during install to get the modem working? Or does it require patches after install is complete? As with Ubuntu I read a few people also had some issues on getting that to work. I don't remember being able to try it under YellowDog.

Thanks

Dave

Check out Gentoo Linux/PowerPC Frequently Asked Questions www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gentoo-ppc-faq.xml , for your mouse setup.
