I wanted to emerge subversion but I am getting this problem:
Code:
[blocks B     ] dev-libs/apr (is blocking dev-util/subversion-1.1.3)
[blocks B     ] >=net-www/apache-2.0.54-r10 (is blocking dev-util/subversion-1.1.3)
[ebuild  N    ] dev-util/subversion-1.1.3  +apache2 -bash-completion +berkdb -emacs +java +nls +perl +python +ssl

how can I solve this problem

thanks

sasuki

The most surefire way is to

Code:

emerge -C dev-libs/apr net-www/apache
emerge -av net-www/apache dev-util/subversion

That should do the trick, or you may need to mask/unmask a different version of apache.

Apache and subversion are a mess in the ebuilds it seems.

I have found that sticking to x86 versions of both helps to a great deal to stop this too.

as far I'm aware, you won't loose the apache config by emerge -C ing it then re emerging.

Not if your careful with etc-update.

If you want to be real careful, just cp -a /etc/apache2/ /tmp/
