I've made it to the first boot and have hit a snag, I've done a search and read past threads, but none of the solutions seemed to have work. When I boot up Netmount doesn't load. I checked my kernel and support is added for my ethernet card(Intel PRO 100) and I emerged dhcpcd twice. I've set eth0 to DHCP in my net file.

When I type ifconfig in my prompt it tells me it does not exist. I also tried adding "E_100" to my modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6 file, but it fails to load.

Any suggestions?

Is the interface listed when typing "ifconfig -a"?
Is the driver compiled into the kernel (*) or as module (M)?

Nothing listed under "ifconfig -a"
Its loaded as a module.

Run "modprobe -l" and find out the module's name (for example "e100.ko")
and run "modprobe modulename" (without the .ko)

Check if the interface is listed now!
If it is add the module nmae to /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6.
