emerging man 1.6 fails because of the missing gripes.h

what is this header file from? can anybody help me?

I'm also having problems emerge'ing man-1.6, but I'm getting a different error than you see:

Well at least I'm not the only one with this problem. (seeing same errror as JofCore)

Any solutions?

I found a solution/workaround in this thread: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-354675.html

Change MAKEOPTS to MAKEOPTS="-j1" seems to make it merge properly...

ok, also solved my problem (which was the same, i guess. i just pasted the occurrance of that error)
