Okay, when i first emerged last week kde I simply did a 'emerge kde' and let that run its course. However, after that I went back and did 'emerge kde-meta' which, i believe, emerged all of the split ebuilds. Now, when I try to update world, it spits this out at me:

Code:

You get the idea, there is a lot more there. Anyhow, I have tried unmerging the old (monolithic, i would presume) ebuilds, but they aren't found.

Is there anything I can do short of unmerging EVERY ebuild in there?[/code]

There's a really good HOWTO on this topic - try http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/kde-split-ebuilds.xml.
I assume that there is no better solution than removing all packages and installing a) all (using the meta ebuilds) or b) only the specific programs you're interested in (including all their dependencies).

Cheers,
maj
