I'm stuck trying to get the keyboard and mouse to work with a gentoo-2.6.12-r4 kernel (I have it working fine with a 2.4 kernel, but am trying to upgrade) on my 12" nvidia powerbook g4. Everything boots up, but at the login prompt, typing does nothing; if I turn on xdm, the issue is the same -- no keyboard response, no mouse movement. I must be missing a kernel option, or have enabled something I shouldn't, but I haven't found it. Any hints would be very much appreciated!

My current kernel config is available here: http://www.smullyan.org/smulloni/gentoo-2.6.12-r4-ppc.config. I am using udev (was not with 2.4, obviously).

# CONFIG_ADB is not set

Turn on ADB support otherwise the keyboard won't work. :)

lazeros: What kind of ppc do you have? Did you make sure that you're using the new kernel?

Since you use a USB keyboard, having ADB support in your kernel isn't going to help. Turn on USB HID devices and make sure that you have your USB controller built into your kernel.
