Hi Guys!

I ran into problems with my new ibook g4.
I tried it several times without a solution...
No posts here helping me out....
I think its just a stupid tiny mistake of me...

Lets take a look:8O

I dont want to dual boot - Gentoo is just enough for me - OSX went away :D

My harddisk looks like this:
Code:

hda1 - Apple_partition_map  - Apple - 63@1 - 31.5k - Partition map
hda2 - Apple_Bootstrap - bootstrap - 1600@64 - 800k - NewWorld bootblock
hda3 - Apple_UNIX_SVR2 - swap - xxxxxxxxxx - 512M - Linux swap
hda4 - Apple_UNIX_SVR2 - root - xxxxxxxxxx - 27.4G - Linux native

My yaboot.conf looks like:
Code:

boot:/dev/hda2
device=hd:
partition:4
root=/dev/hda4

....

ybin -v runs without errors.

My Problem:

After reboot i only get this GRAY Apple screen with an swapping folder icon and a question mark

Is something messed up?

Yours,

If i got into that ibook bios (Apple+ctl+o+f)

And enter:
Quote:

boot hd:1,yaboot

it returns
Quote:

DISK-LABLE: LOAD (noninterposed) not supportedload-size=0 adler32=1

LOAD-SIZE is too small
ok

Jesus, what is this? :P [/code]
