Gnome 2.12 Beta Builds!

iso-codes failure?

Edit the ebuild to reflect dependencies:

Quote:
DEPEND=">=dev-python/pyxml-0.8.3-r1
>=sys-devel/gettext-0.14.1"

...Yes, right.
Next time, how about giving the thread a sensible subject line and some information what it is all about.
Or perhaps better, keep it in the original thread.

You'll be surprised how few mindreaders there are on the forums.

ooowch! 8O

OK, point taken.

But, the thread was not a question - or begging for help. It was for people with immediate probelms emerging iso-codes (the overlay has now been repaired), they would have searched for help on "iso-codes" and gotten it quickly.

Next time I'll enrich the post with all kinds of pointers for those just interested in parousing the forums; rather than the subject in the header itself. :P

Well, you see, your subject was part of the problem: "iso-codes" by itself indicates neither what kind of problem you have (if any), nor does it tell me what the post is actually about.

Having said that, a better place for information or tips is D, T & T or perhaps Other Things Gentoo.
The main forums are primarily support forums, i.e. you ask a question, people attempt to answer.

And Unsupported Software is purely for software not in portage - which is clearly not the case here.

Read my lips: the subject is meaningless.

Don't try to pass it off as if I am the problem here.

The word is "perusing", by the way.

Thanjs Mr. Peeve, but you've done me the injustice of riding roughshod over my fragile sense of humour. "Parousing" - an indignant, petulant little ungrammazical solecism of the adjective combining form "-parous" - giving birth to. Oh well, never mind, I guess this needs a native understanding of the English language to fully appreciate. :oops: But please, do do have the last word, I can tell it means a lot to u.

The fact that you seamlessly switch to ad hominem attacks the moment I call attention to the content of your posts - even offering helpful clues how to deal with these issues in the future - tells me all I need to know.

"seamlessly switch to ad hominem attacks" .. uhhm, me thinks ur pushing the limits of your prose capabilities here. There was no attack, just casual jocularity. Your sense of humour seems a little dulled adaptr, sarcasm does that you know; slowly but surely it renders its users incapable of genuine playfulness - everything becomes a battle.

Sarcasm - If you dish it out expect some to blow back at ya. :)
Or in plainer language; if you can't take it dont push it. :wink:

This is a support forum, not a place to attack people. Since this topic is neither productive nor a support thread anymore, I'm going to lock it.

sysdeep, another reason this thread was locked is because you already mentioned this information in the original thread here. We try not to duplicate information if at all possible. I'm moving this to duplicate threads.
