Can't get it to go... using either the last stable, 2.6.12-gentoo-r6, or the current, 2.6.12-gentoo-r9.

Nothing shows up under /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0. It must be broken.

The help given via menuconfig say it's only available under certain Powerbook models, but I see
that others here have managed to somehow get cpufreq working on their pismos.

Neither userspace nor ondemand is available.

Can you help me make my pismo go?

Code:
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_TABLE=y
# CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEBUG is not set
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_STAT=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_STAT_DETAILS=y
# CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEFAULT_GOV_PERFORMANCE is not set
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_DEFAULT_GOV_USERSPACE=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_PERFORMANCE=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_POWERSAVE=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_USERSPACE=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_ONDEMAND=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_GOV_CONSERVATIVE=y
CONFIG_CPU_FREQ_PMAC=y
