I was running 2.6.10-r6 kernel on my Mac Mini and I recently upgraded it to 2.6.12-r9. Everything works fine but I notice that when I bootup where the console screen use to start and remain in a lower screen resolution of what I assumed to be 1024x768 it now starts in that resolution but after loading the video drivers changes to what appears to be a much higher resolution that looks more like 1450x1024.

I used the same .config file and didn't enable any of the "new" features. So where is this new resolution being set? I actually prefer it this way but I'd like to know how it works. I don't do any fancy splash screens... just the generic bootup screen.

Thanks for any insight

Code:

mode "1280x1024-60"
    # D: 108.003 MHz, H: 63.983 kHz, V: 60.021 Hz
    geometry 1280 1024 1280 1024 8
    timings 9259 248 48 38 1 112 3
    hsync high
    vsync high
    rgba 8/0,8/0,8/0,0/0
endmode

so I guess my question is where is this resolution being chosen on bootup. My yaboot.conf file has nothing in it to set this. Just curious as to where the setting is...
