Im trying to use the Appletouch drivers. I use appletouch-0.07.

Where do i have to copy the compiled modules to?
And do I have to build the stuff in /sys/modules/ by my own?

Compiling the drivers was successfull but loading failed (cause the modules are in my homedir *g* /home/fr3sh/appletouch-0.07 )

Can anyone help me?

ciao fr3sh

Put them somewhere in the /lib/modules/KERNEL-VERSION/ directory. I stashed mine in
/lib/modules/2.6.11.12/kernel/drivers/macintosh. It would be more clever to put it where
it won't get obliterated by a 'make modules_install', but it works for now. Don't forget to
run depmod.

I have copied the modules to /lib/modules/2.6...../kernel/drivers/macintosh

A modprobe does not work. But insmod /--dirtodriver--/applotouch.ko works.
depmod was ok
But if i do a reboot i get "module missing"!

thanks

Try putting the module in /lib/modules/2.6...../kernel/drivers/macintosh and afterward running modules-update. Then modprobe should work and loading it at boot also.

Now the modprobe works! I forgot to make the update.

Thanks

Hi

You might be better finishing the last thread and putting [solved] in the header, then start a new thread for your xorg problem ;)

Stating what your hardware is might help too :)

Then we can try and help.

edit: Looks like you have a PB12, have you tried Xorgautoconfig.

Remove the InputDevice "Mouse" rule, you already selected to use "Mouse1" as your mouse.
