Help,

One of the staff decided to be helpful and run emerge -uD world on our production webserver, and follow it with an etc-update -5

After we fixed all the big problem such as a blank /etc/fstab and all those other fun things, were down to a non-working PHP system which is a big problem because our website is php based.

Everytime I try and compile mod_php-4.4.0-r3 I get the following error
Code:
libtool: link: `/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4/libstdc++.la' is not a valid libtool archive
make: *** [libphp4.la] Error 1

Everytime i try and compile php-4.4.0-r1 I get the following error
Code:
libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4/libstdc++.la'
make: *** [sapi/cli/php] Error 1

I'm not having any other problems with compiling anything else

Any help getting these to compile so that we can get our webserver back up would be GREATLY appreciated.

Have you tried the suggestions in the FAQ yet?

Thanks that seems to have done it. I did quite a bit of searching, but forgot to look in the FAQ
