It's been pulsed many many times before. ;)

Personally, I'm a Gnome fan. I love its design. I love its HIG. I love that it's officially GNU software. I love how everything works well with everything else. I love its streamlined interface. I love its applications. etc.

Totally. It's all in preference. I used to be a KDE zealot; moved over to GNOME a few years ago.

A very BRIEF lowdown...

KDE is the all-inclusive WM out of the box. You can configure the living heck out of it. On the downside, it can be quite bloated.
GNOME is slightly lighter than KDE. But it's got a real smooth look.
Fluxbox/blackbox... very minimalistic. It's very customizable though.

Just my quick 45 seconds review. hehe

Some old poll options, but who cares about them... Please follow up to Favorite Window Manager?

Moved from Desktop Environments to Duplicate Threads.
