Hi there!

Has anybody an example xorg.conf for the 12" Powerbook with VideoOut enabled?
Nothing found in this Forum and on the Net!

I tried a lot but never got a screen on my 17" TFT...
Is there a little tool to manage the video out??

thanks fr3sh

Hi,

you have an nvidia graphics card, don't you? then it is not possible to use both (powerbook and external) screens. but you could poweron the powerbook and then close it. then you would have the output on the external screen only.

Here you can more about your problem: Dual screen on Aluminium PB G4 - GeForce FX Go5200

Regards,

Markus

I wasn't even trying (maybe that's the secret) and I got an external monitor to mirror the laptop display. All I did was absent mindedly reboot after playing a DVD on an external monitor in OS X. The pointer only showed up on the external monitor, but perhaps a little tweaking of the configuraton files would fix that.
