Hello,
I have installed the gcc 3.4 version and uninstalled the gcc 3.3 version without updating the software that is linked to a CPP library. Now none of my CPP software works. Unfortunatly python and therefore emerge uses CPP and I cannot remerge the applications.
What to do to fix that? I have a Gentoo stage 1 installation CD.

Thanks a lot,

Florian

You have to use a binary package of libstdc++-v3 or gcc 3.3. But you must extract and install it manually since portage wont run without it. One of the devs has some packages on his webspace but I don't remember the URL, perhaps someone else knows?

No chance of chrooting into the installation and somehow compile libstdc++ from my liveCD?
