Now after i emerged kdebase and xorg ( also did Xorgautoconfig).

after i ran Xorautoconfig i did startx and it took me to a very lite GUI which is TWM so i did echo "exec startkde" > /home/test/.xinitrc and logged out and logged back in as test and i see the cursor flash and then the screen takes me back to the console, but this time the fonts and everything is messed up...

Any ideas...?

what files should i post..?

just curious, why did you do this?
are you aware that there is a better way to start kde...methods that were designed for starting DEs and WMs?

if you didn't know, you can edit /etc/rc.conf, and set DISPLAYMANAGER="kdm" and XSESSION="kde-3.5" (or kde-3.4, whatever)...then you can start kde with a '/etc/init.d/xdm start'
and, if you wanted make it start at boot with a 'rc-update add xdm default' - although this assumes you've installed kde... if you haven't installed kde, and you try to start it, of course it won't work.

in any case, you could take a look at /var/log/Xorg.0.log - it is usually full of good stuff ...
