If you are using Linux 2.6:
Device Drivers --->
Networking support --->
Ethernet (10 or 100Mbit) --->
[*] EISA, VLB, PCI and on board controllers
<*> Reverse Engineered nForce Ethernet support (EXPERIMENTAL)

Did you get any joy with the compiled-in nforce driver?

I've tried and failed to get the thing working, here is what lshw shows me:

Code:

        *-network UNCLAIMED
             description: Ethernet controller
             product: nForce2 Ethernet Controller
             vendor: nVidia Corporation
             physical id: 4
             bus info: pci@00:04.0
             version: a1
             width: 32 bits
             clock: 66MHz
             capabilities: bus_master cap_list
             resources: iomemory:ec000000-ec000fff ioport:b000-b007 irq:5

I've got that same network card working beautifully on my A7N8X Deluxe v 2.0

However, I have it compiled as a module, and it's auto-loaded on boot (called forcedeth, I beleive)... I don't remember if I tried building it in, but I know that I did have a bunch of issues with it, to being with.
