DPMS is on and working but instead of switching off the monitor it only goes blank.
I even tried with "xset dpms force off" but same result, only blank screen.
I tried Xorg 6.8 and even 6.9.
The Xorg.conf is okay (set the Option "DPMS" correctly)

The same monitor goes off okay with MacOSX or when using gentoo with a x86 box.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Marco

Try generating an xorg.conf with Xorgautoconfig.

Not me, I use my 19" dvi lcd without it. Do you have UseFBDev enabled?

Yes.
Option "UseFBDev" "True"

Option "DPMS" in the Monitor Section solved it for me. Mac Mini with Belinea 1070 TFT via DVI.

Xorgautoconfig didn't give the correct config for these Apple displays for me.

To save you from searching ;) try putting;

Option "MonitorLayout" "TMDS"
Option "UseFBDev" "False" <- This works 'off' for me but it seems it work 'on' for others ? try both with TMDS on.

With the DPMS option in the Monitor section as suggested.
