sup all, in KDE if I start an app (such as Firefox) it opens in the opposite monitor. I have the applications tool bar on both monitors, and a button for firefox on both monitors. However regardless of which button I choose to open firefox, it opens in one monitor only. I would like firefox to open in the same monitor in which I clicked the icon if that makes sense.

...also, this is not the case for all applications. I have VMware installed, and with this is will open in the monitor where I click the icon. Does this have something to do with the Firefox is installed, and can I change it? ...thanx in advance...

KDE opens almost all apps in the window in which my mouse pointer is

Keep your pointer in the same screen as the icon you click and it will open in that window.

(Only exceptions I can think of at the moment are Blender and AMule...)

..hmm...no dice...I made sure I clicked in that window first and it still opens in the opposing screen. In fact all other apps seem to open in the appropriate screen except for firefox...

I mean the screen in which my pointer is at the moment the app opens

ie. I click on the firefox icon on my LHS screen - if I move the mouse pointer to the RHS screen and keep it there until the app opens, it'll open on the RHS screen

Kind of hard to articulate in words, but becomes fairly intuitive with use

...I see what you mean, but mine still opens in the left screen no matter where my mouse is...

Moved from Desktop Environments to Duplicate Threads, as this problem is discussed in topic "Two Desktops, Two Monitors, One Firefox.", which includes additional information including links to bug reports.
