Not sure if this is the correct forum since I have actually installed Gentoo with cli only so far, however... I have Gentoo on hdb and XP on hda. Am I correct to assume that I need to add the Windows partitions to /etc/fstab and/or /etc/mtab in order to be able to access them from Gentoo? TIA for your help

Regards

Graham

If you want it easily mounted, then yes, add it to fstab. Otherwise you could just manually mount it (as root) when needed.
